Africa Specialist - Caitlin Lepper
Caitlin Lepper started her career in event planning, specifically sports and music for regional and national events. But her love of Africa was too strong so she segued into the tourism business, and landed at Thomson Safaris in Watertown, MA where she began her career in sales and marketing. Her lifetime journey with Africa expanded when Caitlin moved to the role of Director of Africa Operations for Mountain Travel Sobek - a long-standing adventure company. Again, Africa beckoned so she moved to Africa to work in the safari industry as a camp manager as well as pursue her Masters in Environment & Development (Protected Areas Management) in South Africa. Now an Africa enthusiast, she has traveled extensively through South Africa, Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mexico,
Costa Rica, Panama, eastern and western Europe, and the Caribbean. Caitlin has worked as a travel agent, receptive operator, and as a ground operator in Africa, and also studied at the University of Oregon with independent studies at San Francisco State University and the University of Costa Rica. She continues her work as an independent consultant based in California and the southern Africa region specializing in sales and marketing with an emphasis on businesses pertaining to Africa and its unique requirements. |
